At first this started out as a random sketch. But I got hooked in drawing her. I was always a fan of dinosaurs when I was a kid and the thought of a different made up race for my own character wouldn't be so bad. I guess Dinosapien would work.

The discovery of another gigantic raptor, and this time from Hell's Creek...the lovely Dakotaraptor, was the reason for my inspiration. 

I really like the name Dakota and thought I would my character like that as an honor to Dakotaraptor. 

Photoshop was used for the blood effects, lighting, contrast and typography. Dakota was drawn with pen and prismacolor pencils.
